Why our founder, John Woods, made Puleia.
Every winter looked the same. Vitamins on the counter. Hand sanitizer in every bag. Everyone washing their hands the second they walked in. And every winter, one person brought something home, and it went around the whole house anyway.
So we started reading. Not wellness blogs, the actual research. And one thing kept coming up: the nose.
Hospitals have trusted iodine as an antiseptic for more than a century. It's what they use on skin before surgery. But there was no simple, gentle way to use it where you actually breathe in.

Puleia is built around 1% iodine, the same family of antiseptic hospitals use on skin before surgery. We paired it with fulvic acid so it's gentle enough to use every day, and put it in a simple nasal spray so it goes exactly where you breathe in.

Why the nose?
Your nose is the first stop for nearly everything you breathe in. The lining of the nasal passages is where many airborne germs first land. It's warm, moist, and exactly where they settle in before you ever feel a thing.
Most people clean their hands many times a day, and never clean the one place they breathe through 20,000 times a day.

Why iodine?
Iodine has been used as an antiseptic since the 1800s. Today, iodine solutions are what hospitals use on skin before surgery.
It's a broad-spectrum antiseptic: it breaks down the outer structure and proteins of germs on contact, which is why it acts quickly. And because it works this way, germs haven't been shown to become resistant to it the way they can to some other treatments.

Most people feel a mild tingle for a few seconds. That's normal, and it fades fast.
Can I use it every day?
Yes, it's made for daily use. There's no steroid or decongestant in it, so there's no rebound and nothing to get dependent on.
Is it safe for children?
Yes, Puleia can be used by children over 4 years old. An adult should help with the spray, and follow the dose on the label. It's not for children under 4.
Can I use it if I'm pregnant or have a thyroid condition?
Puleia is not recommended during pregnancy or while breastfeeding. If you have a thyroid condition or take thyroid medication, ask your doctor first. Don't use it if you're allergic to iodine.
How is it different from saline?
Saline only rinses. Puleia adds 1% iodine plus fulvic acid to cleanse your nose after exposure.
